6 simple steps to help save the environment

Step 1
Use reusable bags over plastic ones. Keep a reusable bag in your car, in your handbag, in the pockets of your jacket. If you still forget one, better buy a new reusable bag.

Plastic bags end up in a landfills or out in nature, where animals can mistake them for food or suffocate on them.

Step 2
Check recycling companies in your area. Start by sorting your organic trash, plastic and paper trash. Take your old clothes and furniture to specially assigned places for recycling, if you can’t donate or sell them on flea markets.

Step 3
We waste water more frequently than we can realize. Turn off the faucet when you are brushing your teeth. Try to use less water when you do your dishes.

Step 4
Avoid using your car, when walking or biking are a greener and healthier option. Using public transportation, or sharing a ride with someone is also a better idea.

Step 5
Buy energy-efficient light bulbs instead of regular bulbs. Turn off lights, the TV, and other appliances when you are not using them. Don’t use too much electricity to heat your home, putting more clothes on is a better and cosier solution.

Step 6
Invest your money into sustainable clothing that is produced ethically. Don’t buy what you don’t need just because it is on an insane sale. Look at the labels: what material is used to produce this garment, where was it produced. Thinking of these simple questions will help you make the right choices.
