Interview with Dulis Shoes

Dulis Shoes is a Portuguese brand established in 1983 as a private company. Our aim is to innovate and to take on the children’s footwear market by working according to the highest quality standards, creating playful designs and recognizing the need for environmentally friendly production.

How many years have you been in business? How have the trends changed?
We have been in the business for more than 30 years and we have noticed a need for customizing and a customer centric focus.

Have the buying habits of your customers changed? In what way?
Yes, we have noticed that even more our customers require the blend of function, fashion and self-expression.

In what manner is your brand responsible, sustainable, and ethical? What is responsible consumerism for you?
Our brand believes in environmentally aware production methods and the limitation of waste produce. We aim to continue to create shoes for children using the friendliest materials our planet сan provide.

Besides that, we have been slowing shifting our lines to full sustainable. Featuring organic cotton canvas and a sole made of recycled rubber leftovers, we are making sure that small feet can
enjoy growing up for generations to come!

What has been the inspiration for the current collection (AW20)?
Our current collection is inspired by the old days, our brand’s core.
Our photoshoot showcases the unlikely friendships and games of a group of kiddos on⁠ a dreamy vintage guesthouse, where you will be constantly reminded of your childhood, from corduroy bucket hats and caps to chelsea boots and hi-top sneakers prepare yourself for a «Back to the Future».
Can you give us any hints about theme for the SS21 collection? How has Covid-19 influenced the production process?
Yes! Our new SS21 collection will take you on a journey to uncover the silly old days, where your only thoughts were that the Summer vacation never seemed to end.

How do you see the future of your brand?
Global, even more sustainable and we aim to be a total look brand, that means having clothes, shoes and accessories category.
